Another fantastic day in grade 1 and 2!
During math, students did a great job skip counting by 5s, 10s, and 2s all the way to 100!!! The students were excited to hear that the skip counting will help them with their multiplication tables later in the year.
Students completed phonics exercises that focussed on phonemic awareness/sound to symbol picture and picture-text match/phonograms.
After snack and recess, I read aloud another story book in the series to support our current UOI and then students had an opportunity to write/illustrate a journal entitled “If I Had Three Wishes…”
Our language period centred on a whole-class read aloud (round robin) entitled “The Stomach Ache”.
At lunch time, students enjoyed listening to sharing.
Mr. Hunt taught dance and gym. During last period, students had printing practice.
