Tuesday April 26, 2016
During math class, the grade ones continued their work with addition and subtraction word problems.  The grade twos had their first lesson on subtraction with regrouping (“borrowing” is what we used to call it when I was in elementary school).
They did very well and we will continue with the concept during the rest of the week.
Three more words were added to the rhyming journals as well with a think-pair-share activity.
Students then worked on individual phonics activities before snack and recess.
Next was reading groups and then library book exchange.
After lunch and recess, students enjoyed music and gym with Mr. Hunt.

Students then had an opportunity to complete outstanding work during our “ketchup/catch up” period.
