Following our calendar activities led by Matthew, students had 15 minutes of sustained personal reading. Then we jumped right into our Easter/Spring craft. It was enjoyable all sitting around the big table again, sharing stories and laughing. I also managed to sneak some math in there (counting by 2s, 5s and 10s to 100 and from 100 back to 0).
After snack and recess, I met with the reading groups. When the students were not working with me in their reading groups, they were working on individualized phonics activities.
Students then had lunch and recess.
Next, students had French class with Mme and then last recess.
Then we continued our work on plurals and possessives. Students also worked together to brainstorm and complete another page of their rhyming journals.
